At Windwhirl Border Collies, we are dedicated, licensed breeders with a lifelong passion for this extraordinary breed. Our goal is to raise sound, well-adjusted Border Collies that are thoughtfully prepared for life as working partners, performance dogs, or carefully selected family companions.
The health and wellbeing of our dogs and puppies are always our highest priorities. Our Border Collies are raised in a clean, safe, and nurturing home environment, where they receive consistent care, early enrichment, and appropriate socialisation. From the earliest days, puppies are gently handled and introduced to everyday sights, sounds, and experiences to support confidence, adaptability, and emotional stability.
Our commitment does not end when a puppy leaves our care. We take great care in selecting suitable homes and remain a long-term resource for our puppy families, offering guidance and support whenever needed. Many owners remain in contact with us over the years, and we are proud that our approach is reflected in the strong relationships we build and the positive feedback we receive.

About Our Border Collies
At Windwhirl Border Collies, our dogs are not only raised with love and devotion, but they also come from carefully selected, high-quality bloodlines that uphold the highest standards of the breed. We say “community” because Border Collie breeders truly form a close-knit circle, working together to preserve quality, health, and the integrity of this remarkable breed.
From advanced health testing including DNA screening, hip and elbow evaluations, and eye exams to regular vet care and monitoring, every effort is made to ensure the health, soundness, and wellbeing of our Border Collies. The results of these tests, along with the love and care our dogs receive before, during, and after breeding, reflect our deep commitment to excellence. We are happy to provide copies of our purchase agreement and health guarantee upon request. Every Windwhirl puppy comes with a five-year health guarantee, is kept current on vaccinations, and is raised with early socialization techniques (including the “Rule of Sevens”) to help them develop into confident, well-adjusted companions.
We also limit the number of litters each dam has, always prioritizing her health, age, and overall wellbeing. Some may have several litters, while others may only have one or two because for us, the health and happiness of our Border Collies always come first. We will never breed unless we are certain that the dog is healthy, thriving, and capable of producing outstanding puppies.
We are especially proud of the champion bloodlines within our program and breed with quality in mind for both working & companion homes. Many of our Border Collies excel in herding, agility, and other performance events, while others shine as cherished family members. Above all, we want each of our puppies to be placed in loving homes that will not only care for them, but also understand that a Border Collie is far more than just a working dog or a competitor, they are a loyal friend, a trusted partner, and a beloved member of the family.

We are committed to breeding only healthy dogs that meet the breed standard. Our breeding dogs undergo genetic testing to ensure they are free of any hereditary diseases. We carefully select breeding pairs to produce puppies that will be healthy and have desirable traits.
We value our customers and are always here to help. We provide ongoing support and guidance to our puppy owners to ensure a smooth transition for both the puppy and the family. We are always available to answer any questions or concerns.
